For 30 years Franck Leroux, CEO & Founder of l’Académie de Tennis Franck Leroux (FLTA) in Arcachon France, dedicated his professional life to tennis and children.
After training as a junior in the 1st ever tennis-study program of the country, Franck pursued his professional career to reach his best rank -4/6. Enhanced by his high-level playing experience, he started his own academy in 1983 with full-board camps & languages studies.
Soon after, he realizes the importance of competition in players development. Then he adds coaching on official tournaments to his academy. Performances in competition being specific and very different from intensive trainings.
Franck still manages the exceptional Franck Leroux Tennis Academy in France, consistently sharing his teaching and coaching methods to all.
Following 30 years of development and research, FLTA developed a complete program for each player needs: from the child to the adult and the beginner to the pro.
New players are invited to join an existing class, during which an assessment of their strengths and weaknesses is performed. Then, in the case the player’s potential is higher than expected, he/she will be redirected towards another class, matching perfectly his level, age, potential and development needs better.
Each class follows a precise technical or tactical objective, entirely part of the training plan, specifically designed for that class. More than simply teaching a new skill, the objectives allows students to always realize a new action “I am able to…”. All objectives are uniquely designed to each class level: too difficult will provoke discouragement; while too easy will not enhance their improvements.
Every game is a source of positive feelings and motivation. It is the best way for players to auto-evaluate their performance, through their own success. Each game is carefully set to reach the objective mentioned here-above and consistently contributes to the acquisition or reinforcement of a given skill.
Coaches regularly evaluate players progression in regards of the skills they should possess, directly depending on their level.
